Dedicated fans near and far know that this year the great rock n’ roll legend, Elvis Presley, would have turned 80 years old. The Colorado Gerontological Society will hold its own celebration of “All Things Elvis” this year at the 26th Annual Salute to Seniors at the Colorado Convention Center on Saturday, April 18, 2015.

Assisted Living Operator Training

The Society is a certified provider of the 30-hour Assisted Living Administrator Training required for licensure of assisted living facilities in Colorado. Total cost is for the course is $660 which includes CGS membership, class materials, lunches and refreshments. Participants must register for the complete four-day course. Senior Issues Briefing

The Senior Issues Briefing is a monthly networking and information meeting for Denver metro area aging professionals. The meeting is held on the second Tuesday of every month from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Brookdale Mountain View. The next meeting will be on April 14, 2015 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am. Network North

Network North is a free, public meeting targeted to professionals in the field of aging, with a focus on the northern Denver metro area. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month from 8:30 am to 9:30 am at Golden West Manor, 1055 Adams Cir, Boulder. The next meeting will be April 7, 2015. TOPIC: To be announced.


Vision Grants Available

Grants are now available to help those over age 50 and living in Adams, Arapahoe, Broomfield, Clear Creek, Denver, Douglas, Gilpin, and Jefferson counties for eye exams and eyeglasses. Up to $250 can be provided per person. Grants are prioritized based on social and economic need.
