Scholarships for gerontology
and aging studies available for students

The Henry Welch Memorial Fund was established in memory of Dr. Henry Welch, a founding member of the Board of Directors of the Colorado Gerontological Society. The purpose of the Memorial Fund is to promote educational standards and professionalism among individuals studying in the field of aging.

Scholarships are awarded based on previous experience in geriatrics and gerontology; leadership qualities; interest in working with the elderly; previous involvement in school, church, and the community; and plans for future, including specific involvement and work with seniors in geriatrics and/or gerontology. Students must be enrolled in a matriculated program studying gerontology at an institution of higher education in Colorado. Applications are reviewed by a committee of professional peers.
