The Colorado Gerontological Society invites you to
become a member of Colorado's Leadership Team in Aging


Annual fees for an Organizational Membership in the Colorado
Gerontological Society are $100. As an organizational member,
three individuals of your choosing will receive all benefits of an
individual professional membership.

Annual dues for a Professional (individual) Membership are $40.
Seniors aged 65 or older and not in paid employment will be
charged $20. Full time students who submit proof of status may
enroll at the senior rate.

You may submit your  application on line, or mail a printed

  • Membership discounts for all CGS educational and informational opportunities, including the Annual Conference
  • NEWSBREAK, the bimonthly newsletter which highlights current information on Colorado and national issues, resources and
    upcoming events.
  • The annual membership directory of hundreds of peers in the
    field of aging in Colorado.
  • Development of personal and professional contacts.
  • Opportunities to share ideas, perspectives and information with
    persons in other organizations.
  • Access to our library of publications, videos, and journals.

    Professional Development

    CGS sponsors Colorado's largest conference on aging, bringing
    members and others together to discuss themes of timely interest.Two or more additional thematic sessions are also

    scheduled outside of the metropolitan area on an annual basis.

    CGS sponsors the Salute To Seniors each spring to bring member organizations and others into direct contact with Colorado's older adult community.This event attracts thousands of older adults
    and enables direct contact with our membership, exhibitors, and sponsors.

    CGS offers training to owners and operators of assisted living
    facilities four or more times each year. These training sessions
    provide certification under state regulations to administer facilities.

    CGS offers networking opportunities for professionals in the field
    of aging in Denver, Boulder, and Fort Collins on a monthly basis.

    CGS offers two scholarships annually to students studying gerontology in a matriculated program at a college or university.

    CGS gives awards to individuals who make outstanding
    contributions to the community. These include Young Professional
    in Aging, Community Service in Aging, Distinguished Pioneer in Aging and Corporate Awards for Aging Services.

    CGS is a leader in the development of consumer information on
    helping individuals with managed care such as Patients Rights

    and Responsibilities in Managed Care.

    CGS monitors legislation affecting older adults at the state and national level.

    CGS provides referral and consultation to Senior Answers and
    Services for individuals seeking information, advocacy, bill paying,
