The Senior Advocacy Corps
The Colorado Gerontological Society invites you to join the Senior Advocacy Corps,
an affiliate group. The purpose of the Senior Advocacy Corps is to work with consumers,
policy makers, regulators, media, and provides of senior services to improve access
to health and social services, such as Medicare and Medicaid.
The Senior Advocacy Corps is composed of seniors and professional volunteers who
are knowledgeable in the field of health and social services. Many of the members
are retirees from positions in health care and social services whose yesrs of
experience make them very knowledgeable about the issues facing seniors.
The goal of the Senior Advocacy Corps is to use the expertise of senior citizens and
professional volunteers to affect public, policy, media perception, and actual delivery
of service at the local, state, and national level. The Senior Advocacy Corps will
be a strong voice for Colorado seniors.
