Salute to Seniors
This year, the Salute to Seniors celebrates its' Blue and Silver 25th Anniversary! To commemorate this momentous year, we're hosting the largest ever Salute to Seniors in Colorado history! Featuring an entertainment lineup from the rocking 1960s and 70s, you won't want to miss this year's coolest senior information and resource fair. Best of all, admission is free!
The Salute to Seniors is Colorado's largest senior-focused event, and features exciting attractions such as a 1960s era Car Show (courtesy of the Forney Transportation Museum) and a old-time music room (sponsored by Schmitt Music). Bingo games will run all day long, and dozens of prices, giveaways and freebies are up for grabs! To top it off, over one hundred senior-focused exhibits featuring the best Colorado has to offer will be available. RTD stops are on-site and free parking is available at the Pepsi Center, with a curbside Sunrise Senior Living shuttle service.
The entertainment will run all day, with featured entertainers including The Fab 4, a Beatles tribute band, The Long Run, an Eagles tribute band, and the Joe Peterson Orchestra, a local swing band. Reminisce with us to some of the greatest musical stylings of the 60s and 70s!
Come meet some of your local famous Coloradoans, like Mama Kat, the former "Senior Citizen of the Airwaves on Jazz89 KUVO, or former Mayor of Denver, Wellington Webb, and current Denver City Auditor Dennis Gallagher, and several Denver Broncos alumni!
The Salute will be held on Saturday May 31, 2014 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Mile High Ballroom of the Colorado Convention Center at 700 14th St, Denver, 80202.
