Assisted Living Residence are required to be in compliance with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment Chapter 2, 7, and 24. In addition, Assisted Living Residences who want to accept Medicaid, must also be incompliance with Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing Volume 8.
All licensed health care facilities must be in compliance with Chapter 2 such as licensing requirements, vaccine requirements and occurrence reporting,
Assisted living residences must be in compliance with Chapter 7 include such as administrator duties, services, and the external environment.
Those facilities that want to accept Medicaid, must also be incompliance with Volume 8 which include resident choice, person-centered care, and resident rights and restrictions.
