Photo Essay: When We Were Young
Baby Boomers forged a new way for American society. Children of American’s World War II generation, Baby Boomers were more interested in experiencing life. They tested the waters with women wearing mini-skirts, opening smoking marijuana, driving hot cars, dancing the Twist. The Baby Boomers were forged the women’s movement, became more aware of individual rights, and had fewer children. The Viet Nam war, the large funding for the Great Society movement, Civil Rights movements, Saving the Planet, and Space Exploration were hard-fought initiatives by dedicated Boomers who wanted to make a difference. Baby Boomers found the world to be big, open and the opportunity to do great things. Participants will enjoy photo essays depicting Baby Boomers and their impact on the world today.
