Legal Services

Legal Services

Older adults face many specific and complicated legal needs that may differ heavily from general practice. There are many lawyers who specialize in elderlaw, which can include many areas of focus such as estate planning, advance directives, probate, Social Security and other topics. If you cannot afford traditional legal services, there may be some help available to you through various legal clinics and donated services, though it will often depend on your income and resources. However, it is extremely uncommon for lawyers to work pro-bono or without upfront payment and difficult, if not impossible, to receive legal counseling without establishing an attorney-client relationship. These listings are made available as a public service and some represent paid supporters of the Society. The Society neither endorses or recommends any attorney or clinic listed above and will not be held liable for any advice received or actions taken as a result of the information provided.
