Assisted Living Residences that accept Medicaid are known as Alternative Care Facilities (ACFs). In addition to the CDPHE ALR Chapter 7 rules, an ACF must also be in compliance with Medicaid ACF Volume 8 rules. The Volume 8 rules focus more on resident choice and person-centered care. Medicaid has issued a series of FAQs. Pat Cook, RN will discuss these compliance requirements for providers who accept Medicaid.
