Network North is a free, public meeting targeted to professionals in the field of aging, with a focus on the northern Denver metro area.
Network North provides relevant and targeted information on pressing issues facing seniors and how that impacts the delivery of services to your clients.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at Brookdale Meridian Boulder, 801 Gillaspie Dr, Boulder, CO 80305 from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.
The topic for this month’s meeting is: Mandatory Training and Enforcement of Home Care and Personal Care Workers Starting in 2020, presented by Erin Thatcher, Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing.
A recently passed bill, SB19-238, requires the Health Care Policy and Financing and the Department of Public Health and Environment, in consultation with stakeholders, on or before January 1, 2020, to establish a process for reviewing and enforcing initial and ongoing training requirements for persons who provide covered services. In addition, the bill requires home care agencies who accept Medicaid to begin paying $12.41 per hour on or before July 1, 2020.
