Effective December 31, 2015, all Assisted Living Residences, including those with 19 or fewer residents, and all group homes for persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will be required to have Quality Management Programs (or QMP) in place. Assisted Living Residences (ALRs), Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IIDs), and Residential Care Facilities for the Intellectual Disabilities (RCF/IDs) have until December 31, 2015 to achieve full compliance with the regulation according to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. Each facility’s QMP must ensure the mandatory compliance of the facility with regulations, including policies and procedures, and a plan to take action where deficiencies are identified. The QMP will monitor performance and help owners and operators of facilities to proactively detect and correct deficiencies.
The Colorado Gerontological Society is offering a four-day Quality Management Program Compliance Training to help your facility develop and implement a QMP that meets the CDPHE’s standards and requirements. At the conclusion of the training, you will have the business knowledge and tools to successfully and confidently implement your QMP. The training offers:
- Analytical review of the new regulation and compliance requirements
- Current QMP assessment by expert trainers
- Determination of Action Plan for QMP compliance
- Development of a compliant QMP for your facility

Cost is $600 for the full-four day course, including training materials and lunch. Each additional registration will receive a 33% discount (up to a maximum of three registrations).
