The Medicare Savings Programs consist of three programs that will at a minimum pay the monthly Medicare Part B premium for eligible seniors; it will also pay the higher premium for other reasons such as late enrollment. For those with lower incomes, coverage may also include Medicare Part A and B deductibles, co-payments and co-insurance. Individuals are also automatically enrolled in the Medicare Part D Extra Help (also known as the Low Income Subsidy) which provides assistance with prescription costs. More information is available on Extra Help, including required support documentation.
