Designed for aging services professionals, the Benefits for Seniors workshop is a hands-on training on major public benefits available to seniors, from Medicare and Medicaid to Senior Employment Programs and Weatherization. During the all-day workshop, participants will learn how to complete benefit applications, find useful online resources and get tips on how to navigate the system.
The workshop complements our Benefits for Seniors Sourcebook, an all-in-one guide to most federal and state programs and services for Colorado seniors. Our trainer Eileen Doherty brings more than 35 years of experience in casework, advocacy and public policy to help professionals learn the complex world of public benefits.
The workshop is offered annually to coincide with the publication of the Sourcebook, usually in the spring and early summer. Check back later for more information on 2014 class offerings.
