Attendees will want to take their time in a special section of the event space that has been set aside for creative, how-to demonstrations. If you think you might be interested in painting, yoga and tai chi, fishing, pottery, low maintenance gardening, learning more about your mobile tech devices, genealogy, national park adventures, how to fix small items around the house, or one of many other leisure time activities, stop by for a hands-on demonstration and give something new a try.
Major event sponsor, Optum, will be on site throughout the day to offer a Health Fair and important health screenings. The convenience of combining the Optum Health Fair with the resource fair makes attending the Salute to Seniors a real win-win.
Media sponsor KUVO will be taking time to visit with attendees as they continue the radio station’s Viet Nam “listening tour”. KUVO is anxious to hear stories from Viet Nam veterans, moms and wives, children, refugees, and individuals who relocated to the States because of the war. Stories will be used in a documentary that will air on the radio.
